Crosswords

The Crosswords Android App didn't change much since Android 1.0 it has been updated several times to keep up evolving with Android. Now it gets another update.

• Crossword List now ist sectioned like Outlook with sections for age of crossword inserted to the list. It doesn't sort crosswords by time of recently opened any more.
• Crosswords are downloaded in the background, you can continue playing crosswords change to other apps.
• New software keyboard with only 3 rows, eliminating unused keys and providing more space for the crossword.
• Zoom controls for easier access to zoom levels.
• Moving to the next field is skipping block fields and letters that have been revealed or checked and correct.

On this screen all non archived crosswords are listed in reversed order of the created date. Touch to open a crossword.

Use the Menu and touch

• Download to download new crosswords from the internet.
• Archived to open list of archived crosswords.
• Load to import *.apz and *.puz crosswords from the SD card.
• Settings to configure list of crossword sources and choose other options.
• Help to read the manual.
• About to contact the author.

Long press on a crossword to show context menu and touch:

• Archive to move crossword to the archived crosswords list.
• Delete to delete crossword.

The settings view stayed unchanged.

Archived Crosswords

Archived Crosswords are older Crosswords that you want to keep but moved out of your way. A keyword can be used as a list-filter. Use Menu and touch filter to make it visible. The filter will be applied to the title, author and clues.

Crossword Player

Playing is simple here are a few tips:

• Touch on a field where you want to type the first letter.
• Touch and drag or fling to show other parts of crossword.
• Touch on the clues area to switch direction.

You can continue playing each crossword where you have left it.
Checked letters are marked with lower left triangle. Red for wrong and gray for correct letters. Revealed letters are marked with top right triangle.
